Y'gotta love State Surveiilence Tech.
(As in not. There's always a danger of fetishing / glamorising hi-end surveillance processes 'cos o'their Golly-Gosh-Wow 'bigness' Nerd Tech-Honeypot-ness...)
"There’s also “wide-area persistent surveillance” systems like ARGUS, a 1.8 gigapixel sensor array that was designed for unmanned drones. The system can watch an entire city in real-time down to objects as small as six inches."
Think I may've blogged on ARGUS on one of my old now-gone sites, But didn't realise they were ferrying ARGUS variants around in Cessna clones. Pity the poor US tax-payer: y'can't have proper healthcare, but you can have 1.8 gigapixel cameras over every town. Classy, America.
