CARLOS FIERRO (BASS)
AZAEL GONZÁLEZ (DRUMS)
Sez Ron: "A year ago I went to Mexico City to play in a concert with Marco Fierro, Carlos Fierro and Azael Gonzalez. It was a blast, after the gig we decided to continue with the project and do some recording which is now available either as a download or on CD.
"I'm very happy with the way the CD has turned out and my playing on it. It was a lot of fun to write the guitar parts, there is some melodic playing, some great slide stuff and of course a bit of avant-noise-guitar. But this CD was a real collaboration with Azael laying down some powerful rock drumming, Carlos keeping it solid on the bass and Marco adding his own brand of electronic noise."
(I interviewed Ron a few years back on the phone in NY for an article; he was a really nice guy and I liked the cut of his jib, both musically and philosophically / life-wise. He kinda turned me onto Bartok... well, I was already listening to some - liking some bits here and there, but not others - and he convinced me to persevere and nudged me onward towards what he thought was the Good Stuff, and a couple years later I reached a similar place, I guess. Anyway, old rocker that I am, really like the track above.)
