The super-personal stuff in my life / year will stay close to my heart, natch - I no longer feel that mid / late-2000's compulsion to document everything... but, generally, yeah, it was about 'moments', because that's what's important to me now. The accumulation of memories.
I had a crap flu-y thing when I wrote it, so it was all a bit vague and random and forgetful; however, if I'd been a bit more alert and together I might've added these (tomorrow, it'll be different again - but these are what're bubbling to the surface now):
Surfing with my kids in Cornwall for 3+ hours in a crazy-heavy, non-stop deluge of rain that eventually turned to hailstones, laughing at black thunderheads as they came in off the sea and feeling so damned alive...
Meeting Stephen Mallinder - another of my heroes - who was an utterly lovely bloke.
The vinyl reissue of Dredd Foole's Blues Sermon With Congregation.
Anything and everything by Libbe Matz Gang.
Running across leaves in crisp, cold winter sunshine.
The beautiful shit my children say every hour of every day.
