"In February 2015 Rifkind claimed to have no salary and to be self-employed when discussing with what he thought were representatives of a Chinese company which wanted to buy influence in the UK parliament. Rifkind offered to get them access to British ambassadors for £5,000 to £8,000 per half day's work."
Rifkind is chairman of the chairmanship of the parliamentary Intelligence and Security Committee (ISC), the committee that oversees GCHQ. I suggest he is not fit for purpose - neither in that role nor as an elected MP, ie an elected representative of the people.
And if you think I'm being partisan here by picking on a Tory, I humbly submit that Jack Straw should also be subjected to the severest form of punitive legal action that can be brought against him. They - and others - have abused the public's trust for years. It's time this ended. Let's get the pigs' snouts out of their troughs.
