Following on from the Disrupt Google Glass post (which I snagged from Bruce Sterling, but which I think originated from Stop the Cyborgs...) and, also, *ahem* ... comes this, via Julian Oliver - code to kick Google Glass off a local wireless network - which was itself kicked off by something that Omer Shapira said...
From my own, somewhat naive position on invisible infrastructure / hidden corporate architecture... after you've identified the damn stuff and made it visible (much to the indifference of most of the population, 'natch), the next stage is to disrupt or subvert it, which is what Julian's Glasshole.sh script does brilliantly.
I hope he doesn't mind if I reproduce his header comments here - (go to his site to snag a look at his code) - GLASSHOLE.SH - in the hope that it gets replicated and spreads (and mutates somewhere along the way into something else)... looking through Julian's work, I see he has produced other instances of Wi-Fi / Network disruption, 'weaponised' scripts, etc.
# Find and kick Google Glass devices from your local wireless network. Requires
# 'beep', 'arp-scan', 'aircrack-ng' and a GNU/Linux host. Put on a BeagleBone
# black or Raspberry Pi. Plug in a good USB wireless NIC (like the TL-WN722N)
# and wear it, hide it in your workplace or your exhibition.
# Save as glasshole.sh, 'chmod +x glasshole.sh' and exec as follows:
# sudo ./glasshole.sh <WIRELESS NIC> <BSSID OF ACCESS POINT>
Now go and write your own.
